Sales Manager - Industrial
To do this job you need an outstanding knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery trading in Malaysia. This includes sellers (corporations, bank, insurance, fleet, dealers, and institutional sellers) and buyers (dealers, scrap dealers, repair shops, and corporate buyers) and the motives and motivators that drive their decisions.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, Industrial, you will be primarily focused on two main areas:
90% - Increasing the number of vendors/sellers and the overall amount of inventory put to auction each month in order to meet the sales targets.
10% - Improving the overall sales and service for our buyers and sellers, building a positive reputation in the market where Pickles become nationally known as the leading brand for trading by auction.
As a key to your success at Pickles, you will also perform the following duties:
• Use your experience and relationships in the industry to introduce Pickles and to be awarded contracts for the sale of assets for disposal.
• Accurately assess the value of a wide variety of industrial equipment based on make/model/service hours/ and current economic conditions.
• Liaise with vendors on the sales operations process as required, including re-marketing options, reserve prices and referrals, and ownership transfers.
• Assist in training and development of Pickles staff in specific vendor requirements.
• Contact and visit new clients every month; maintain a client relationship log; submit monthly sales report to your manager.
• Participate in sales meetings, contributing to the overall success of the team.
• Assist in auction process to maximize vendor returns.
• Maintain the highest ethical standards.
